  • Karren Burkett (nee McLean) studied at Jacob Kramer College of Art in Leeds, and later at Cardiff College of Art and Design where she gained her diploma (DipAD).


    Her contemporaries included currently renowned artists such as Robin Sewell (senior lecturer in Fine Art at the University College for Creative Arts at Canterbury) , Bernard Ollis (Director of the National Art School in Sydney from 1998-2008), and Anthony Frost (a well-established artist in Cornwall).


    Karren is related to Jane E Hall, famous for her embroidered butterflies and stunning ephemeral designs.


    Karren has travelled the world, but now lives in Dorset, where she finds great inspiration for her paintings.
